Duralco 4538 is a unique rubber like epoxy used for applications requiring thermal shock and vibration resistance, sound absorbtion and excellent adhesion to dissimilar substrates. For use up to 232°C.
Duralco 4538 is a 2-part epoxy that cures at room temperature to provide excellent chemical resistance and high bond and peel strength.
It can be mixed at different ratios to customise the flexibility and is used to bond difficult materials such as Nylon, Poly-carbonates, Phenolics and other difficult materials. It has successfully bonds Teflon housing to a ceramic bushing and cermaic magnets to a plastics holder.
The Duralco 4538 also withstands repeated thermal cycling and has bonded a glass sight port to a brass housing for use from -73°C to 150°C. Other uses include potting of delicate electronic assemblies for severe thermal shock environments.
